EMFT Graduates New Public Safety Divers

The East Madison Fire Territory proudly recognizes the outstanding achievements of our newest certified Public Safety Divers!

After months of intense training, we congratulate the following divers on successfully completing the Public Safety Diver Program:

East Madison Fire Territory:
• Division Chief John Moore Sr.
• Lieutenant Anthony Luyet
• Firefighter Robert Ford

Anderson Fire Department:
• Firefighter Daylon Bailey
• Firefighter Levi Cox
• Firefighter Jared Harter

Madison County Sheriff’s Department:
• Deputy Jordan Allen

This rigorous program began in early summer and included comprehensive classroom instruction, e-learning modules, pool sessions, and challenging open-water training. Multiple partner organizations—including IUOE Local 103, Do It Right Diving, and Anderson University—played key roles in delivering this advanced certification, ensuring our first responders are fully trained for the demanding and critical work of underwater rescue operations.

We were honored to have Fire Chief Jamey Burrows, Chesterfield Police Assistant Chief Cody Painter, Anderson Fire Chief Dave Cravens, along with family, friends, and supporters, join us to celebrate this remarkable accomplishment.

To all honorees: your dedication, courage, and professionalism continue to elevate the safety and service we provide to the East Madison Fire Territory community. We are incredibly proud of you.

A special congratulations to EMFT Firefighter Robert Ford, who received the Sgt. Ed Bollman Award for being the Top Diver of the Class—a well-deserved recognition of outstanding performance and leadership.
