Water Safety Tips for Children

With the arrival of summer, the East Madison Fire Territory wants to emphasize the importance of Pool Safety. As temperatures rise to approximately 90 degrees in the upcoming weeks, people of all age groups will be participating in aquatic activities. Our objective is to raise awareness and educate adults about the significance of pool safety measures.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States experiences an estimated annual occurrence of 4,000 fatal unintentional drownings, averaging 11 drowning deaths per day. Additionally, there are 8,000 nonfatal drownings, averaging 22 incidents per day.
