On Thursday night, members of the EMFT, Station 50 staff, joined Chesterfield Police Department at the Chesterfield Christian Church as they wrapped up a week of Vacation Bible School. If the weather had cooperated, there was going to be a water battle between the police, fire and the kids (who do you think would have won that battle?). But since the rain moved in, we moved in and enjoyed activities inside. Before dinner, we had the opportunity to talk to the children about fire safety. We talked about fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and most importantly for the young children, how to yell FIRE and get out of the house quickly. Let me tell ya, those kids can sure make some noise when we encourage them to tell the world there is a fire. After talking to the kids about fire safety, the fire and ambulance crew enjoyed having dinner with the children and their families. We want to thank the Chesterfield Christian Church for hosting such a great event for our community and inviting us to be a part of the fun and excitement of the final night. We look forward to VBS 2024!
