🔥 East Madison Fire Territory Invites You to Our 2025 Fire Station Open Houses! 🔋🐾

It’s Fire Prevention Week — and this year’s theme from Sparky the Fire Dog and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is all about charging safely with lithium-ion batteries. Join the East Madison Fire Territory for two exciting community open house events as we help families learn how to “Charge into Fire Safety™.”

Sparky says, “Kids, bring your parents to my house this Wednesday night!”

🚒 Station 51 Open House – Thursday, October 9, 2025

This open house will include a special Tanker 51 Dedication Ceremony at 6:30 PM.

💡 Why “Charge Into Fire Safety”?

From smartphones and e-bikes to toys and laptops, lithium-ion batteries power much of our daily life — but they also come with fire risks if used or charged improperly. This year’s national campaign focuses on safe charging practices, battery disposal, and recognizing warning signs of overheating devices.
