Last night, we had a great time visiting with hundreds of community members ranging from a few weeks old to senior citizens during our National Night Out and Back to School event. The weather was absolutely amazing, and the crowds came out to enjoy the beautiful weather. Working with Dairy Queen, we handed out 100 FREE DQ Kids meal tickets and the Town of Chesterfield handed out 65 Back to School Backpacks for the children. During the event, we were also able to celebrate Chief J Burrows 49th Birthday with his community, friends and family. We also made a big announcement last night, Chesterfield has been awarded a grant to fund 50% of a Safe Haven Baby Box. The Baby Box will be installed at East Madison Fire Territory’s Chesterfield Station. The Town of Chesterfield is currently accepting donations to help fund the remaining 50% of the project. Donations may be mailed or dropped off to the Chesterfield Town Hall, 17 Veterans Blvd, Chesterfield, IN 46017.
We want to give a great big shoutout to Dairy Queen for your continued support each year and Eric with AC3 DJ Entertainment for providing the tunes and the PA system and the Town of Chesterfield for the Back to School Supplies.
